Default Radish Help

Hi everyone

I've got a question about one of the easiest things to grow

I'm fairly new to gardening and thought I'd try some radishes, but for some reason the just don't grow.

The leafy part grows, but not the root.

I know they usually take 4 weeks or so, but it's been 9 and there is still no root.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I have just pulled some radishes up which have been the same. I am not sure why, the ones I grew earlier in the year have been great but some planted next to them have not grown good roots. I have put it down to either it being too warm or just a lack of moisture.

I have sown some more so in a few weeks will be able to let you know how they have grown.

I would be tempted to get rid of them and put some more, or something else in.

Cheers

Yes, I was thinking I may as well get rid of them and try yet again.

Another thought is maybe I haven't planted the seed deep enough.

I'll try that and see what happens.

Cool

Hi Mini,

I just put mine into compost to start them off in the greenhouse. Once the seedlings were about an inch or two high, I planted them out. Within 6 weeks they were about 5 inches long and tasted supurb.
