Default Bursting cabbages

I had some really nice cabbbages growing in my little garden until recently the nice firm heads just started to burst open. Now they look horrible as if the were shredded.

Any advice welcome please. The variety is similar to Hispi

Hi Fixerman! The usual cause of cabbage heads splitting open is heavy rain. Harvest the cabbages and salvage what you can, freezing any excess for later use. It's annoying having beautiful cabbages ruined by the weather!

Default Re:Bursting Cabbages

Red Acre Cabbage is resistant to cabbage yellowing and is especially suited for small gardens as it takes up less space than other cabbage varieties. In particular, this variety stores better than just about any other early cabbage variety available and the heads will hold up for a long period in the garden before splitting or bursting.
