Default Runner Beans

My Runner Beans(butler)are Looking Very Spindly And Light Coloured And Dont Seem To Be Growing Very Much.any Advice Eagerly Taken

Are they planted in good deep fertile soil? Usual method is to dig a trench in autumn and fill with well rotted manure, green waste and scrunched up newspaper then backfilling with soil.

Are they planted in full sun and not shade?


Try feeding with a high nitrogen fertiliser and keep them well-watered. In the wild runner beans are bog plants.
