Default Chillies setting

I've got half a dozen chilli plants on various windowsills in the house some have set chillies whilst some have not with the flower just dying and falling off unset. Would it be proper to 'interfere' with their flowering parts with a soft brush to increase setting?

Or have I just embarrassed myself?

LOL!!! Yes it is proper! Also take the plants off the windowsills at night because the fall in temperature doesn't help with setting the chillies.
