Hi there

I would suggest a couple of courgette plants for a quick, easy and very satisfying result. Many of us are already eating them, but they catch up really quickly and will continure to crop until the first frosts.

If you have some compost then dig a hole and fill it with a bucket full. (if not don't worry too much). Just pop one seed in the ground and another about 3 ft away. Water every day from now on and stand back and watch. You'll be suitably impressed I'm sure!

Have fun
Flo

Tezmac you could sow an early variety of peas such as Meteor, some carrots which you can pull as baby carrots, pak choi, spring cabbage, salad leaves, over winter onions which will be ready to eat next June and potatoes which will be ready in October. If you like purple sprouting broccoli then you can buy plants which will be ready to harvest early next year. There are some on this link.
