The joy of being a newbie.

Got up this morning, wandered into the kitchen to put the kettle on and was greeted by the sight of the most glorious bright egg-yolk yellow flower in bloom. My 'greenhouse' is my lean-to utility attached to the side of the kitchen. So I can see into it through a double window. There, in glorious technicolour was the first male courgette flower fully open. What a lovely sight first thing in the morning. On top of that, when I went out to feed the hens and clean out the hen house, there it was, a delicious terracotta coloured ovoid deliciousness ready and waiting to be collected - an Anode deposit to delight the tastebuds.

But I do wish it was warm enough to plant the green things outside - the courgettes & squashes are taking over my little 'greenhouse' as if they were triffids on steroids!
