Default Is it too late to plant peas?

Hi everyone,

Just wondered if it is now too late to plant some peas in my veg plot? I've got some 'hurst green shaft' seeds and they say to sow between march and june... it is worth just planting a few and seeing how they do or is it too late in the season? I've never grown them before and thought it'd be nice to try, but don't want to wait til next year!

I put in some Kelvedon wonder last night. It says you can sow them up to mid July. I'd chance it.

Thanks for the advice! I'll plant a few then on my next day off work! Do you need to put manure or anything down for them when you plant the seeds? I remember reading something about vegetable peelings etc could be put into the soil where you're planting them to help them out?
