Hi
I have 4 butternut squash plants: 2 are in my raised bed and 2 are being grown in pots. The 2 growing in pots are suffering from yellow spots on their leaves. There is fruit growing on the plants and they look quite healthy, but they haven't grown any bigger in the last few weeks. I was wondering if they are suffering from either the mosaic virus OR a magnesium deficiency? Any advice gratefully received. Here's a photo of the leaves: Squash bad leaves 21 Aug[3].jpg (image) Also, the plants in the raised bed were doing quite well, but then all of a sudden the biggest fruit went bad and started to rot - anyone got any ideas what happened? I'm sure it's not because it wasn't pollinated properly because it had grown quite big, around 5 inches long: Squash rotten 21 Aug[4].jpg (image) |

Thanks for your reply David!
I guess the best thing to do would be to destroy the plants affected by the mosaic virus to stop it affecting other plants. I've cut off the rotten fruit as there are some new fruits growing and I want all the energy to go into them! |

you can also make so the affecte plants are well watered but not over watered.
take away yellowing and bronzed leaves and burnt donot plant crops in the same place next year if using green house
