Default early spuds problem

Hello all,
I have been growing my earlies in bags and tubs for a good few years with no problems but the last two seasons my potatoes broke up when cooked with a layer of flesh separating with the skin. I have never had this before and wonder if I have done something wrong? The variety I favour is Epicure which has always been reliable and a joy to eat fresh from the garden but these last two years they have been floury and pretty tasteless and as I said they break up. it is almost as if they 'burst' on cooking. I use compost with a concentrated cow manure from the garden centre and as far as I can recall I haven't changed my method of growing. Perhaps someone can recognise this problem and advise me? I would very much appreciate it. thank you

Try cooking them in a pressure cooker - it worked for me.
