bell boy peppers

hi is there any1 out there that can answer a few queries i have about peppers

1.can peppers cross polenate with chillies.

2.if so would the seeds i take from this years crop become bell boy chillies (lol) wen the seeds germinate next year.

3.wen is the best time to harvest sweet bell boys.

Hi Steve, yes bell peppers and chilli peppers will cross pollinate - there is one chilli that doesn't, which is Capsicum Pubescens. If you save the seeds to grow next year then you will get a variety of fruits and heat from the fruit next year. Harvest the peppers when you are happy with the size and the way they look. The peppers start out green and turn red but can be harvested either green or red. Good luck!
