Looks as if it may be broccoli raab. Pick the florets before the flower buds open.

you pick them before they flower because thats how u eat it??!!
![]() when u buy it from the shop its the closed flowers your buying, when they open they produce yellow flowers by then you will be dissapointed you didnt pick them ![]() the trick is to chech everyday and as soon as the floret shows a hint of yellow harvest it |

Just what I was wondering, but googling broccoli raab (or rabe) I found that it is a relative of the broccoli plant we are used to. It does look quite different, seems to be common in Italy
