Default Peas - what to do now

My peas have finished - I think they had something wrong at the end as they shrivelled up without filling out. Still had quite a few. What do I do now? Do I cut off the plants at soil level and put these in compost or leave them to rot in the ground? When do I dig the land over?

thanks

Smile Peas

Hi, my Peas gave me a very good crop and have been dying off the last 2 weeks. I am going to dig them back into the soil, i read somewhere that they will release Nitrogen into the soil if i do this, anytime after they finish cropping will do. Hope this helps.
All the best
