Question Damsons

Does anyone have any bright ideas for what I can do with the first good damson harvest I have had in 8 years - I don't like jam - looking for new ideas please???

How about a datchi,
that's a bavarian damson cake.
You make a yeast dough, like making bread, but add a little sugar.
After the final rising, you spread it onto a baling tray and top it with halved damsons and a sugar and cinnamon mix. If you want you can add chopped hazelnuts or almonds or a crumble topping (my favourite) as well. Then bake the lot and cut into squares. Is freezes well and is traditionally served with cream.
