Default Flowering Broccoli

Hi,Just joined the forum I've not much experiance about gardening but learning all the time.
I keep bees and last year noticed the bees really liked broccoli flowers. My first question is..
"How to make broccoli go to flower fast?"It was a bit late last year before it went to flower(late Sep.)and whats the best type for this.
Next question
I bought some white clover seeds(1kg) and going to plant shortly "Would it be O.K. to just scatter across the grass?" and "What time of year is the best time to plant?"
Hope you can help.

Hi Gordie,
I presume, you are not interested in growing it to eat, because once the brassicas are flowering, they are not at their best eatwise.
So how about oriental brassicas, they are non for their tendency to bolt, run into flower/seed, rather then grow into something edible. They are quick growing and pretty hardy. So you probably could start some off soon under cover and then plant outside. With the lengthening days, they should be start to flower in no time. Good luck

I will plant some broccoli for the table but was wanting to plant a few hundred just for the yellow flower as the bees really hammered it last year.Bees are a bit picky when it comes to selecting pollen, they maybe would'nt like the oriental brassicas."Do you think if I pack the broccoli close it would make them flower quickly"?
