Hi Garage, and welcome. The only tips I can give are to try mixing some compost into your soil, make sure the soil is loose and not compacted so the roots can spred and go down. You may also want to have a soil test done to see if you need any extra type of fertalizer. Also, be consistent in your watering. Don't let thing get too wet or too dry. Keep the weeds down and try not to crowd your plant too close. Plant health goes a long way in getting a large crop and large individual vegetables so watch out for bugs and any sick plants that may need attention. Don't be afraid to ask for advice from your local garden supplier and just do your best. The weather also has so much to do with a good crop and no two years are the same so don't be discouraged if something doesn't work out the way you plan. We all learn something new every year, no matter how many years we've been gardening. Hope this helps a little and best of luck.
