Default Drip irrigation with seasonal planting

Hello, i have a doubt that has somehow to do with seasonal planting...

For example, for a crop with the planting season from march to may, i would like to plant it with 2 or 3x weeks between between each planting, so i can have fresh vegetable every week.

My question is: is this functional using both mulch and drip irrgation system?

I mean, with mulch, is just a matter of covering the soil around new plants as they start to grow.

But what about drip irrigation?

Will i have to increase the hoses as i plant new seeds?

And when the first planted seeds are ready for harvest, the later ones are still not tottally grown, wich means the section of the hose that irrigate the first ones is not needed anymore, but i just can't "cut" it because is the same hose wich is irrigating the later plants. How do you do it? Is this functional?
Sorry for the long post and my bad english.
Thank you
