Leeks are usually started in modules or trays ,started under glass usually in march or april, once the plant is 4-6"high and about as thick as a pencil it can be planted out usually in june or july, plant in holes 6" deep and about 1 and a half inch dia.(a cut off old wooden fork or spade handle is good for making the holes).plant 6 to 8 "apart each way and just drop the leek in to the hole and water well to settle in.Start outdoor tomatoes in a pot on a warm window sill and plant out doors when any chance of frost has past.Other seeds you mention can be sown outdoors direct as instructed on seed packet.Well rotted manure would be of benefit but not for carrots.

Tomatoes and leeks can be started out in trays. Then plant the leeks directly into the soil as they get bigger. As the tomatoes get bigger you can put them into bigger pots of put three plants in each grow bag. I would also recommend the big drippa watering system for your tomatoes. It is a very small investment but works most effectively.
