Growing Mushrooms

I have just started my first mushroom growing kit, having seen them jump up in price in the shops. Any tips that I should follow would be much appreciated. THey seem to sound simple to grow according to the instructions, but then best laid plans....

they are easy enough, just make sure eveything is clean and keep it that way. the dark, humid envrionment you have created for the spores is also ideal for other unwanted fungus.

I am keeping them in my metal shed which is in shade all day so they are staying relatively moist, just wonder if it might be too cool?

Anyone have the secret to success for Mushroom Kits?

We bought a white mushroom kit at the garden centre, followed the instructions to the letter, and got 15 mushrooms in the first batch, 4 in the second, and one in the third.

I've read various places on the web and it appears we were lucky to have so many!
