it's not unusual for the seed leaves and maybe the first set of real leaves to turn yellow and drop off, if the problem spreads up the plant then i'd say either N or MG defficency, having said that the re-potting should have solved that potential problem.
again the leaves can look droopy and curl up without there being a problem. the brown spots are the only real worry, did you use biological washing up liquid? that might explain it and 5% still sounds quite strong use like a 1-2mm per litre of non-bio and rinse it off after a few hours. oh and do this on a cloudy day or the leaves might get burnt. |

Thanks for the response
. Yes it's mainly the bottom leaves which are yellow and they had been before I potted up and sprayed the plants on Saturday, so as you say, I'm not so concerned about that. The brown spots/ discolouration is affecting the whole/majority of the plant though. Including leaves at the top of the plant. This also has somewhat discoloured the plants and they're not as glossy green as they were. If you click through twice on images one and two you should get a closer view of the problem, which is quite bad on the underside of the leaves especially. The washing up liquid I used was Bio D, which is an environmentally friendly liquid like ecover. It is "A concentrated Washing-up Liquid containing vegetable glycerine to help keep sensitive skin in a supple condition. Ingredients: A blend of detergents derived from Coconut Oil, Aqua, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Vegetable Glycerine." I misted the plants with the liquid and I didn't rinse the liquid off - it was quite sunny that day, about 18 celcius and sunny, so may be sun burn? |

Bio D should be fine, just the name made me think it could be biological, probably just the strenghth.... i like to take the approch of, if it's too week, no harm done
sortch happens when there are drops of water big enough to act like magnifying glass in the sun, misting them will be fine. i'd just wait to see if they bounch back, like the damaged leaves won't get better but the new growth should look ok. |

To me it looks like a burn. If you watered the plants on a hot day the leaves will suffer from burns. Did the plants come from inside to outside? As it could be a temperture thing. The yellowing is a deficiency - now that you have repotted the should be fine.

Great, at least it's nothing serious! Yes I did give the plants a good watering and misting during a resonably hot day so that may well be it (at least I know now!). I've started them on some tomato feed now and they've perked right up so fingers crossed
