Default Holiday and my

..giant pumpkin.

Any top tips for helping my pumpkin along while we are away for 2 weeks? A friend may be able to come and water once but it's been so hot here and it tends to wilt during the day. How can I help retain water while we are away? A shade maybe?

Hope for the best!

Pumpkins have a tendency to wilt - so I wouldn't worry about that. It just needs water every few days when it's so hot.
A shade might work but then it will get very hot under that. What about a drip water feeder.
Or not go on holiday

You know I do wish we hadn't booked a whole 2 weeks. Crazy isn't it - all because of a pumpkin plant!!!

Aye, growing your own veg saves money in more ways than one, because it provides the perfect justifiable reason not to go on holiday.

And one can buy more seeds with the now unallocated holiday money . . . .

Ali.
