Hi everyone. I am growing a couple of 'Shirley' grafted tomato plants for the first time this year in the greenhouse. So far they are looking fantastic, just coming up to ripening stage. They were great value at £1.75 for two. Just wondering if anyone else is having a go. Also bought a couple of grafted cucumbers which are also producing well. Same price. Really chuffed!

I believe this is the method used commercially. I agree about the price but Iwas intrigued and decided to buy some plants. From what I have read about doing your own grafting it seems to be a bit of a rigmarole and you have to buy large quantities of clips etc.
They do seem to be giving a heavier crop than the conventional method. |
