I am growing kelvendon wonder peas again this year. I have had a good crop but been away for a few days and worried about some as look odd. Should I take them up as don't want to lose the rest? thanks Susan

Thanks for reply. The ones I mentioned before some of the pods are now brown spotted. Some I sowed later in different bit of garden are now producing but the leaves have a white powder on, see pics. Is it safe to eat the peas from these and what is the white powder? thanks

Gardener came round to mend greenhouse and I asked him. He thought it advisable to remove all the plants and not eat the peas. He said the white stuff was white mould which he didn't know peas got and thought the others might have a virus - so don't know.

They look like they have come to the end of life. I think a lot of veg has good the white mould must be the year - it's probably the humid weather. My spinach has got it. Buut I wash it off and eat it.

im growing same species and as they are dying off they are getting the while mold also, im keeping them in the soil tho so they fix as much nitrogen as possible before the die off completely. I dont have a second crop so a little different for me but i certainly dont think u need to kill off your second crop. I think it might be powder mildew or something similar which can be treated organically so might be worth a try. I invested in some organic spray but last year with advice from lesley i used skimmed milk in water as a treatment. Type in skimmed milk in the search im sure youll find it.
