Default Seed Potatoes

When I buy seed potatoes I try to buy a variety of earlies, 2nds and main crops, but how do you store them to prevent them sprouting too much? I have tried in the dark and cool but they still sprout. Any clues please?

Wrap individually in paper and put in fridge until required.
