Default Lots of Questions

I am in zone 9 and I need some serious gardening help.

Tomatoes - my tomato plants are dying I think. They are about 3 feet tall and they started to turn yellow then brownish. The tomatoes on them are smaller than I would like as well. They have been fertilized and they are water about every 2 or 3 days.

Broccoli - my broccoli plants are doing ok, we have been eating on them for a while, but I was told that I need to cit off some of the large leaves. Is that true?

Pinto Beans - I planted about 20 beans Pots, each pot had like 5 beans in them and I only received one plant. Why? I did soak the beans overnight in water like I was suppose to.

Pumpkin - my pumpkins were doing great then all of a sudden they started to turn yellow. They had issues with some small black bugs of some sort and I sprayed them for that. I also had to treat the area around it for slugs and snails. I have fertilized near the base but it does not seem to be helping. Any suggestions?

Just some general info... I normally start everything from seeds with the exception of the tomatoes. I use street manure to fertilize. I water ever other day.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

tomartoes - could be a number of things, where are they turning yellow, the leaves, stems, friut or the whole plant? do you have a picture?

broccoli - if it's ready get it harvested, leave it too long and it will flower. you can blanch then freeze it if you have lots.

pinto beans - can't say i've ever grown them but beans can suffer from bean seed fly which will stop the seeds germinating, soaking the beans and cold temps make the problem worse.

pumpkin - they do need a lot of food especially nitrogen, have you been using the 'street manure' on it? i take it this is horse shite? if that's the case i'd say it needs a decent 20-20-20 liquid feed of some sort. manure does contain nutrients but it's mainly a soil improver rather than a plant food. if it's the pumpkin itself rather than the plant which is getting munched then try putting some straw or an old pallet under it, something to get it off the ground.
