Question plant now

hi after a few weeks of digging up the weeds i can now look at plant something. i have been told i can try some cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, or spinach but which type would be suitable for planting straight in the ground. there are alot of birds which attack the early plants so any suggestions please.

The trick is to get small quantities of fresh seed so try Just Seed for small packets of 100 seeds by varierty from 50 pence and try as many as you like. order early for next year as they be going quick.

Cheers
