Default pink fir apple....

just wow, they are better than i thought was possible

the taste is something else, but the texture is unreal, they melt in the mouth

tatties were just tatties until now

i'll be growing them again next year and me thinks some other heritage potatoes might replace the normal ones

They are nice if a little tricky to clean. Have you tried Rosa val They are also very good? I buy the potatoes from waitrose in the spring and let them chit, easily as good as buying seed potatoes and much cheaper!

Rosa val isn't one i've found, and google doesn't like it!

i've planted supermarket tatties before without too many problems but it can end in tears. keeping your own seed potatoes from last years crop is a better option in my mind that way you know what the problems were (if any) and therefore you can be ready to tackle them before they happen. also it's the only way half the rare cultivars survived....

failling that i have a friend who knows someone at the SCRI

My mistake it is spelt roseval. They are a very nice early salad potato with a nice waxy texture and slightly nutty taste.
