AYR lettuce in the greenhouse and salad rape on the kitchen window sill. As long as we get no sharp frosts for a while the lettuce should at least germinate and then storm away in spring.

Have you tried Chinese Greens in boxes then in the event of foul weather you can move the them to cold frame or greenhouse (the house would be too warm!). TryJust Seed for some options as they cheap and in small quantities. The Winter lettuce mixes have been good for us. We've just moved the Chicken's into winter quarters (polytunnel) so I'm sowing broad beans in the their outdoor run.
