Hi there, I'm new to this forum and wondered if anyone would be able to help. We live near an apple orchard, and it drives me mad seeing all the apple's which have been left unpicked. I want to collect them and feed them to the starlings that visit the garden (they love them), but I was told they may have been sprayed to make the apples drop.
The apples have definately not dropped, there are literally hundreds still on the tree's. Does this mean they have not been sprayed and are safe to feed to the birds? I really hope someone can help. Thanks, Leonie |

Hi Leonie, it is actually illegal to scrump apples so you would have to ask the orchards' owner for permission first. The birds in our garden eat the apples and pears while they are still growing on the trees!
