Lady birds

This afternoow a swarm more then 1000 of the 11 spotted ladybirds invaded our garden and house. The windows were covered in the tiny things. Some gained entry to the living room what a sight they made walking over the tv. We took down the nets and had to shake it outside, we turned off the telly and let the dear creatures walk or fly out off the open windows. Some liked our room so much they had to be helped out with a feather duster and sheet of paper. We have never seen this type invasion before. Why did they not come a few months ago and eat the green fly.Regards Marmite.

They`re most likely the Harlequin ladybird,they`re orignally from asia, and are now just like grey squirrels colonising britain lol,and supposedly wiping out the natives.I`m not sure why they`ve swarmed over here, i would say it`s most likely to do with the climate and the amount of food they can get.Although they are supposedly wiping out our natives, i don`t mind them, because i don`t like aphids.They`re good for the aphids and so good for me hehe.
