Default Butterfly house?

I am thinking of buying a butterfly house to encourage them into my garden, but I would like to know if they actually work? I don't want to buy one and then just find its a haven for bees or wasps, which whilst essential to pollination, I have a strong aversion to. All comments welcome

I bought one a couple of years ago for my nephew but unfortunately there were no butterflies coming to live in it. There were also no bees and wasps, which is a good thing I guess...I don’t know about lots of different kinds but the one I bought was a wooden one. So Im very interested in other experiences as well!

Check this out: 1,000 Seeds, Wildflower Mixture "Bird & Butterfly" (Seeds By Seed Needs): Amazon.co.uk: Garden & Outdoors

I haven't tried it though but I imagine it would attract a lot of butterflies, and it would be quite a beautiful sight too. I would like to have more flowers in my kitchen garden next year.

A butterfly house serves more as an ornamental feature and flower gardening, often painted in decorative colors.Mount the butterfly house approximately 4 feet from the ground.

if you store the butterfly in a jar they are died but if you leave them in air for garden they will fly as long as,i suggest leave this idea and think some different.

I would be skeptical of a butterfly house. Maybe if the house was in attractive colors to the butterflies they would visit once in a while. You might get some other insects as well.
