Default Large Plastic Tub

I bought a large plastic tub from B & Q, with handles, would this be suitable to bury so far into the ground, plant up with water lillies, so frogs and toads can use it. I know I would have to put some rocks in it, to enable them to get in and out. Would I put in a shaded area or sunny? Any ideas welcome!

yeah it would be fine for that job you can put it in fall sun if you wanted but one thing to think about. Is that it will get smelly and the water will go green but the frogs will love it

Water lilies want to be in a sunny position Runnerbean and once the lily has grown it will cover the top of the water so that should help with the algae. Be sure to buy a small variety to suit the size of the tub because some can grow huge.
