Default Pretty Bee friendly flowers that are non-poisonous?

Hi, I have a little slip of grass at the back of my chicken run which I would like to use to increase the amount of bees in my garden. I am looking for some ideas of what to grow there? The problem is that from time to time it is also accessible to my chickens so any flowers growing need to be essentially edible. At the moment I have a comfrey plant and a lot of untamed grass.

Does anyone have any nice ideas?

well, i know almost nothing about chickens, they lay eggs etc lol

google produced this list of plants toxic to chickens http://wiki.omlet.co.uk/index.php?ti...ul_to_chickens

which includes things i'd expect to find in untamed grass land e.g. buttercup, horsetail etc
